Main Regulations of Foreign Student Admission

TO STATE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF HIGHER PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

«Northern State Medical University» Arkhangelsk

1.8. Foreign students entering the University should be advised of:

· the present Regulations of Foreign Student Admission;

· the list of admission examinations in each specialty

2. Acceptance of Documents

Foreign citizens enclose the following documents to their applications for admission:

· a foreign state original legalized through the established procedure (if necessary) document of education and its supplements, recognized in the Russian Federation equivalent to a state-recognized document of secondary (full) education or secondary vocational education;

· a certified through the established procedure translation into Russian of the foreign state document of education and its supplements;

· a copy of a document proving a foreign citizen identity (an original document is shown by the citizen personally during his/her registration in the Passport-Visa Department of the Dean’s Office of the International Faculty of General Medicine);

· a copy of a visa for entry into the Russian Federation (with indication of the goal of stay in Russia – «study in Arkhangelsk»), if a foreign citizen arrived to the Russian Federation with an entry visa;

· a copy of birth certificate certified through the established procedure;

· an original medical report (certificate) including a certificate of HIV examination issued not earlier than three months before the document submission;

· a form with indication of a specialty full name;

· 12 photographs sized 3x4 cm;

· a signed by a foreign citizen statement of liability to fulfill the rules of stay, residence and migration stated for foreign citizens by the law of the Russian Federation;

2.8. Foreign citizens putting in consciously forged documents bear responsibility prescribed by the law of the Russian Federation.

3. Admission Examinations

· students entering the University for contract education with payment of education costs by persons and (or) legal bodies (for study of specialties General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy) are admitted according to results of written admission examinations or an interview:

• Biology, Chemistry and Russian – for foreign citizens from the states of the former Soviet Union (CIS states) and foreign citizens who graduated from preparatory divisions of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation;
• Biology, Chemistry and English - for foreign citizens from far-abroad states (interview).

5. OrderofPaymentforEducation

5.2. Education is paid in full for the whole academic year during 10 working days from the date of enrolment in the higher educational institution or in equal parts from the date of enrolment till the 15 of January next calendar year.
