NSMU hosted the international workshop for medical librarians “Transfer of Knowledge X”, 24-26 June 2014 “Transfer of Knowledge X” - education courses for medical librarians were held for the 10th time here in the NSMU. It wasn’t possible to organize the courses without support of the Norwegian Barents Secretariat, SMH and University of Oslo Medical Faculty.

The workshop was led by the specialists from the SMH Baltic, University of Oslo Medical Library, Meilahti Campus Library Terkko University of Helsinki, Central Medical Library University Medical Center Groningen and Norwegian Board of Health Supervision Library.

Russian course participants – medical librarians from Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Petrazavodsk, Novgorod and Arkhangelsk.

The workshop participants were welcomed by the NSMU Rector L.N. Gorbatova, NSMU Scientific Library Leader O.R. Kholmatova and the “Transfer of Knowledge X” Project Leader E. Husem. The aim of the workshop was to present the work with apps that give the opportunity to follow the latest journal and medical data bases updates, to provide the effective support of PhD and to manage the references.
